BATANGAS CITY, Philippines — The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) and the University of Batangas Distance Education (UBDE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 11 September at the University of Batangas, Kumintang Ibaba, Batangas City.

The city demo farm has an edible landscaping area with organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and medicinal plants. The construction of the landscaping facility was conducted in partnership with the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños edible landscaping team.
Dar particularly cited the ongoing collaboration among the NMIS, Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development, University of the Philippines Los Baños, and the Bureau of Animal Industry to develop a digital traceability system for meat products.
