This assistance aims to provide a conducive laboratory setting for researchers and dissertation or thesis students who are in need of research facilities for their experiments. The BRSL has facilities for basic experiments, molecular biology, cell culture, histology, and microscopy.
This course trains the laboratory personnel of Manila Water Laboratory Services (MWLS) and the Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWCI) in the culture preparation for long-term preservation using L-drying method. It also trains them in L-drying of microbial cultures. Additionally, it orients the personnel in the maintenance and documentation of reference cultures.
This orientation aims to provide an overview to the industry’s non-technical personnel on the world of microorganisms and their impact and relevance on man, his environment and to the industries.
This workshop trains participants on basic plant chromosome preparation techniques for genotoxicity testing.
This workshop trains participants on the proper care and handling of mice, as well as drug administration using different routes, techniques in blood collection, and tissue sample collection. The techniques taught are in compliance with Administrative Order No. 40, or the Rules and Regulations on the Conduct of Scientific Procedures Using Animals.
This workshop trains participants on isolating DNA from different biological organisms.
The Biological Research Services Laboratory (BRSL) provides consultation, mentoring and/or advisory services to interested stakeholders in accordance with its field of expertise.
These provide analytical services and/or chemical analysis, particularly in the areas of analytical and environmental chemistry, to students and researchers of schools, universities and government agencies.
These services provide bioassay testing on the safety of natural products, foods, drugs, cosmetics, and other substances.
