BAGUIO CITY, Philippines, September 2 — The University of Philippines Padayon Public Service Office successfully conducted its two-day Writing Workshop for the 4th Public Service Writing Fellowship (PSWF) from 31 August to 1 September 2023, at Hotel Vivo in Baguio City. The Writing Workshop (Writeshop) was held to support the Padayon Fellows in developing and publishing their research output and to serve as a platform for the discussion of their research proposals with mentors and peers.

The University of the Philippines Padayon Public Service Office launched its UPskilling Program last 22 August, with a workshop on project management facilitated by Dr. Wilfredo Awitan, faculty member of UP College of Social Work and Community Development and Philippine Women’s University, and consultant on various national and international projects. 

DAVAO CITY, Davao del Sur — The University of the Philippines is set to launch four University programs aimed at promoting further engagements with other Philippine state universities and colleges on 15 September. The four programs will be rolled-out during the Pagtutulay, Pagtutuloy: Strengthening Partnerships in Philippine Public Higher Education summit to be held in the Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani, Davao City. 

DAVAO CITY, Davao del Sur — The University of the Philippines will host a consultation with the Bangsamoro Transition Authority officials and stakeholders at the Dusit Thani Residences Davao on 13 September. Participants include the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) government officials, Local Government Units (LGUs), development NGOs, and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in BARMM. They will discuss opportunities for collaboration that would improve the socio-economic conditions in the Bangsamoro region and Mindanao.
