NEWS | Manila International Airport Authority partners with UP National Center for Transportation Studies to conduct comprehensive traffic management training program

DILIMAN, Quezon City — The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) partnered with the University of the Philippines National Center for Transportation Studies (UP NCTS), demonstrating the agency’s commitment to enhancing traffic management within the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Complex.

Through the partnership, UP NCTS successfully conducted a comprehensive training program from 3-7, 10 and 14 July. The training was attended by 30 participants from key departments in MIAA, including Airside Police Division, Landside Police Division, Airport Police Department, Police Detection and Reaction Division, Police Intelligence and Investigation Division, and Terminal Police Division. The training program intends to optimize traffic flow, enhance safety measures, and streamline vehicular movement. The UP NCTS further enriched the program with academic research and cutting-edge insights, ensuring the incorporation of the latest advancements in traffic management techniques and methodologies in the curriculum.

Throughout the training, all participants were equipped with the knowledge on the best practices, strategies, and tools in traffic management, tailored to the unique demands of airport traffic. The distinguished resource persons and experts provided well-rounded and multi-faceted approaches to the training, holistically addressing various aspects of traffic management.
