DAVAO CITY, Davao del Sur — The University of the Philippines is set to launch four University programs aimed at promoting further engagements with other Philippine state universities and colleges on 15 September. The four programs will be rolled out during the Pagtutulay, Pagtutuloy: Strengthening Partnerships in Philippine Public Higher Education summit to be held in the Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani, Davao City.

The summit will gather leaders from various SUCs, officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and other interested stakeholders from the Congress and private higher education institutions. The summit also coincides with the September 14 investiture ceremony of UP President Angelo A. Jimenez, whose cognizance of UP’s public service mandate led to the exploration and strengthening of inter-SUC engagement and partnerships.

The four programs are the UP Data Commons; Philippines Massive Open Online Courses (PHMOOCs); TVUP programs; and the UP Archipelagic and Ocean Virtual University (UPAOVU).
