DILIMAN, Quezon City — With the support of the UP Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies, collaborating institutions of the UP School of Statistics, UP Diliman Office for the Advancement of Teaching, Psychological Association of the Philippines-LGBT Psychology Special Interest Group, and Babaylanes Inc. launched the University of the Philippines Rainbow Research Hub on 30 June at the UP Diliman University Theater Lobby. The hub aims to promote LGBTQI scholarship and research in the country.
The hub is currently headed by Assistant Professor Xavier Javines Bilon of the UP School of Statistics. The launch was attended by more than fifty (50) guests, University officials, academics, students, and members of civil society organizations.
