The UP Visayas Office of Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) introduced the UPV Museum of Art and Cultural Heritage (UPV MACH) to tour operators and guides from Iloilo, Ilocos, Cordillera, and Batanes to promote the facility as an educational and tourist destination.
A short orientation on the building’s history preceded the guided tour of the UPV MACH’s seven galleries and Performing Arts Hall led by Prof. Martin Genodepa, OICA Director.
Genodepa shared with the tour operators and guides the vision and plans of the facility, which aims to be a one-stop destination for those interested to learn about local art, history, and culture. He emphasized that the museum is primarily an educational arm of UPV and would appreciate their help in including the facility in their tour itineraries.
The UPV MACH was launched in October 2022 and has steadily been receiving local and foreign guests.
Museum hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. For inquiries, interested individuals can send a message to the UPV OICA Facebook page or call 3379159.
