UP Department of Linguistics Extension Program in Linguistics & Asian Languages

| Written by Padayon UP

The Extension Programs in Linguistics (EPL) are extension activities of the Department of Linguistics that seek to share and validate linguistic knowledge of both individuals and organizations seeking to utilize such knowledge in their line of duty, function or interest. There are two regular extension activities under it, which the department seeks to institutionalize—the Philippine Linguistics Congress, and the Summer Seminar in Linguistics.

In line with its mandate to teach and research on the languages of Asia, the Department of Linguistics also seeks to institutionalize its extension programs in Asian languages, which are the Extramural Classes in Asian Languages and the Review Classes for Proficiency Examination in Asian Languages.
