UPDATE: The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 31 January 2026

The University of the Philippines (UP) System will serve as the local host for the 2026 International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement Asia-Pacific Community of Practice (IARSLCE APCoP) International Conference, to be held in Manila from June 15 to 16, 2026.

Carrying the theme “Ethics of Service-Learning and Community Engagement,” the conference aims to bring together researchers, educators, practitioners, students, and community partners across the Asia-Pacific region to explore innovative methodologies and address evolving ethical challenges in the field.

The event encourages discussions on the diversity of ethical frameworks in global partnerships, responsible and culturally grounded engagement practices, the ethical implications of emerging methodologies, and ways to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and communities.

In line with this, the conference is currently accepting paper submissions, with the deadline extended to 31 January 2026. Interested contributors may submit abstracts of scientific works, case studies, or programs aligned with the theme, and accepted entries will be considered for presentation.

The conference will feature three presentation formats: paper presentations, poster presentations, and interactive workshops. These formats aim to showcase research, share ongoing projects, and provide hands-on learning sessions on service-learning and community engagement.

The conference welcomes a wide range of themes, including:

  • Community engagement, partnerships, and social entrepreneurship
  • Professional development for faculty, educators, and practitioner-scholars
  • Service-learning in graduate, secondary, and co-curricular education
  • Transdisciplinary, intercultural, and global learning
