Colleges and Universities Public Service Conference (CUPSCON) is a three-day conference held biennially, that features plenary and parallel sessions on the various public service initiatives of SUCs and HEIs which aim to benefit sectors outside the university, community, and government, both national and local; private sector, especially the industries; civil society including non-government organizations and the people’s organizations; marginalized communities; and the general public. The conference is open to all disciplines, institutions, and organizations with community engagement, public service, and extension work.

In 2015, 2017, and 2019 the University of the Philippines, initiated to convene to public service workers, extension specialists, volunteers, and advocates from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Colleges & Universities Public Service Conference (CUPSCon). Despite the exigencies of the pandemic in 2021, CUPSCON 4 was successfully held online, with more than 200 participants. Also in the same year, CUPSCon garnered recognition and won the Silver Anvil Award during the 56th Anvil Awards of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines. The award represents high standards the UP program meets in the category “public relations programs carried out on a sustained basis” for urban or rural community development.
