Interprofessional Workshop Series (IPWS) for Pharmacists

Objective:

The interprofessional workshop series is a partnership between Young Pharmacists Group Philippines and the Department of Pharmacy. It caters to the needs of the Filipino pharmacists by inviting speakers from different fields of practice to enhance their competencies on common health problems relevant to their practice. The pharmacists after each IPWS session are expected to improve their knowledge and skills in the provision of care to patients. At the same time, they are also expected to practice interprofessional collaboration among healthcare team members to achieve better patient outcomes.

The first of the series was conducted last January 21, 2017.
The speakers were experts from the field of medicine and dentistry and they discussed the key roles of pharmacists in the management of infectious diseases.

The objectives of the first IPWS include the promotion of interprofessional collaboration and emphasis on the roles of pharmacists in the management of infectious diseases through such collaboration.


Duration / Date:

Two years from January 2017 to December 2018, with workshops planned to be conducted every January, April, July, October

Cost of Participation:

PhP 1,000 to 2,000 per participant
