LOS BAÑOS, Laguna — UP Los Baños strengthens academe-industry partnership with DMCI Project Developers, Inc. (DMCI Homes), Seven Peaks Design and Build, Inc. (SPDBI), and the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) in a signing ceremony at the BM Gonzales Hall on 9 June. Engineering students from the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT) are expected to have more opportunities to learn from the industry’s experts and best practices. UPLB, in turn, may also provide technical assistance and conduct joint research programs with its new partners as part of the academe-industry cooperation.
During the signing ceremony, UPLB was represented by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., with Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo, dean of CEAT, as witness. CEAT faculty also attended the signing ceremony. Industry partners were represented by Teresa Tiongson, Vice President for Human Resources of DMCI; Wilye Padilla, Vice President for Operations of SPDBI; and Engr. Janice Vargas of DA-BAFE.
