In line with the Green Mobility Initiative of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs (OVCCA), UPLB partnered with Tipaklong Sustainable Mobility Corporation to look into the viability of a shared mobility system for bicycles and electric scooters on campus today, March 22.

UPLB’s partnership with Tipaklong Sustainable Mobility Corporation will contribute to the University’s thrusts towards making transportation in the campus more environmentally sustainable. Tipaklong will roll out a fleet of mechanical bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters as part of their feasibility study and pilot-testing.

Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. (CJCJ) was joined by Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Roberto Cereno while Tipaklong was represented by President Arnold Bufi (BS Chemical Engineering ’94), Finance Officer Leah Bufi (BS Forestry ’94), and Operations Manager Arvin Rongavilla.
