Objective:

The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) is a duly-accredited cooperative training provider of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). As such, the ICOPED conducts CDA-prescribed training courses for cooperatives.

This course aims to develop the basic competencies of members of the Audit Committee in performing the internal audit of the cooperative, ensuring therein the adequacy and effectiveness of the cooperative’s management and control system. Upon the completion of the course, participants are expected to be able to discuss clearly the important elements of internal audit, and to review the books of accounts and other financial records of the cooperative. They are also expected to be able to effectively conduct internal audits, as well as prepare accurate internal audit reports, by the end of the course.

This course has been conducted thrice from 2011-2016.


Duration / Date:

Three days, offered continuously/regularly


Target / Beneficiaries:

Cooperative officers, specifically the audit committee. Please note that only a maximum of 30 participants can be accommodated per CDA- prescribed training.


Cost of Participation:

PhP 500 per day per participant, inclusive only of the cost of training kit and honoraria of resource persons and training staff
