This program aims to assist and guide the Bay, Laguna Sangguniang Bayan and municipal offices in the creation of its local climate change program technical working group, as well as the preparation of its project proposal to access the People’s Survival Fund (PSF). It also aims to help in the formulation of its Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP), and in the formulation and implementation of its climate change action programs, projects and/or activities.
The Leadership and Local Governance lecture series aims to engage former and incumbent elected local officials in sharing their experiences and views on the subject through a structured format that will enable distilling of lessons and challenges across contexts. This seminar is a two- to three-hour activity conducted among high school and college students to increase their awareness of the cooperative movement. Participants are provided with basic knowledge of cooperatives. It is a part of the public service of ICOPED conducted in selected educational institutions in Los Baños and in other municipalities by request.
The technical assistance and advisory services of the ICOPED are in line with the policy of the State that all departments, branches, subdivisions and instrumentalities of the Government shall promote the formation of cooperatives through appropriate and suitable incentives.
