CFOS public service network launched

To better reach out to the community, the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) recently launched a network to make people aware of its various public service and research activities through a social media platform. The launching took place at the Audio Visual Hall, CFOS, UP Visayas Miagao campus on February 21, 2019.

CFOS established the Fisheries Research, Industry and Extension Network for Development and Sustainability (FRIENDS) to enhance the delivery of its public service programs to the society. It will actively engage in research to address issues and concerns in aquaculture, marine fisheries, fish processing, and fisheries policy.

FRIENDS will cater to various clienteles in terms of technical assistance, consultancy, technology dissemination and verification, conduct of training and workshops, and production of information and education campaign (IEC) materials, among others.

To avail of these services, one should be friend with CFOS FRIENDS first. So, like and follow the UPV CFOS Friends facebook page to learn more about the program.
