Basic Accounting for Non-Accountants

Objective:

The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) is a duly-accredited cooperative training provider of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). As such, the ICOPED conducts CDA-prescribed training courses for cooperatives.

This course covers the knowledge, skills and attitudes required of the Treasurer and a member of the Audit Committee in basic accounting for cooperative. Participants should be able to explain basic accounting concepts and procedures, explain the different financial statements and their significance, and apply the Standard Chart of Accountants to their respective cooperatives, by the end of the course.

This course has been conducted thrice from 2011-2016.


Duration / Date:

Three days, offered continuously/regularly


Target / Beneficiaries:

Cooperative officers, specifically the audit committee and the treasurer. Please note that only a maximum of 30 participants can be accommodated per CDA-prescribed training.


Cost of Participation:

PhP 500 per day per participant, inclusive only of the cost of training kit and honoraria of resource persons and training staff
