Cooperative Management and Governance

Objective:

The Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) is a duly-accredited cooperative training provider of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). As such, the ICOPED conducts CDA-prescribed training courses for cooperatives.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of the Board of Directors and the General Manager in the practice of good governance and management in the cooperative, thereby enabling them to contribute to the effective operation of the cooperative as an economic and social enterprise. Upon completion of the course, participants are also expected to be able to ensure their respective cooperatives’ compliance with labor and related laws. They are also expected to formulate effective policies for implementation, and apply the principles of management in their cooperatives.

This course has been conducted six times from 2011-2016.


Duration / Date:

Four days, offered continuously/regularly


Target / Beneficiaries:

Cooperative officers, specifically board of directors and general managers. Please note that only a maximum of 30 participants can be accommodated per CDA-prescribed training.


Cost of Participation:

PhP 500 per day per participant, inclusive only of the cost of training kit and honoraria of resource persons and training staff
