GIMM aims to facilitate cooperation among teachers and researchers to work together to promote the learning and teaching of mathematics. This is done by supporting and carrying out activities such as conducting training on GeoGebra, developing GeoGebra teaching materials, offering workshops for future GeoGebra trainers, implementing new features of GeoGebra, developing an online-support system for teachers, designing and implementing research projects, and presenting at national and international conferences.
This course aims to train engineers and enthusiasts with basic solar photovoltaic concepts, as well as applications that can be used in their respective fields.
This activity trains teachers who coach high school students participating in mathematics competitions such as the Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO). The Institute has been actively involved in training students for the International Math Olympiad (IMO). It was observed that PMO winners usually come from private schools, and these students have been trained by professionals. The Institute aims to make quality training accessible to coaches especially from public schools in the provinces.
This training seeks to upgrade the quality of mathematics teachers in our country through trainings/workshops on the content and pedagogy of high school and college-level mathematics. It aims to enhance their knowledge and improve pedagogy and mathematical skills. With the K-12 basic education reform, this training has since been offered to high school teachers, whereas it has only been available to college instructors previously.
