Kagalingang Pantahanan is a radio program aired over DZUP every Monday, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Hosted by the College of Home Economics, it aims to “keep listeners abreast with current issues that concern basic needs in life attended to at home and beyond. It also provides opportunity for the students, faculty, alumni, and staff of the College in the different sub-disciplines to share their expertise to the public,” according to Dean and program host Aurorita Roldan.

This training aims to enhance and upgrade the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the trainers of the Accredited Training Providers (ATPs) and/or prospective applicants to the CDA Accreditation Program, in conducting and managing training programs of cooperatives.

This seminar is a two- to three-hour activity conducted among high school and college students to increase their awareness of the cooperative movement. Participants are provided with basic knowledge of cooperatives. It is a part of the public service of ICOPED conducted in selected educational institutions in Los Baños and in other municipalities by request.

The Ugnayan sa Pamayanan ng College of Home Economics is a program initiated by the UP College of Home Economics in cooperation with Habitat For Humanity Philippines and the Quezon City Local Government Unit. It seeks “to institutionalize the conduct of service learning activities of the faculty, students, and staff, through selected courses such as HE 100…and Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), among others, and through individual extension service activities, thus enabling the academic institution and the movement to continuously improve the lives of Filipino families and society.” (Quoted from the Memorandum of Agreement confirmed by the BOR on October 2015)
