The Agham + Sining: UP Innovation and Knowledge Festival 2022 was held last 28-29 November 2022 at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City (UP BGC). The event showcased research projects and technological innovations in UP. The Development of a Filipinized Learning Management System under the Emerging Interdisciplinary Development Research Program was included in Session 1 of the event, where innovations in quality education were highlighted. Projects in this session aim to address SDG4 (Quality Education).

Violence against women and children remains a global problem to this day. Although not all are directed at women, they bear the burden of physical, mental, and emotional abuse.
With this, the UPLB Office of Student Activities (OSA) in partnership with Eduksine, marked the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) with Cine Makiling: Mga Palabas ng Panahon, during which three independent films were screened on Nov. 14, 21, and 28.
The Cultural Mapping of Antique Project turned over a set of the project outputs in a compendium or set of books to UP Visayas through the Center for West Visayan Studies (CWVS). Dubbed Dunâ, Kinaíya kag Paranúblìon: A Cultural Registry of the Province of Antique, the books were received by UPV on December 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at the Performance Hall of the UPV Museum of Art and Culture Heritage.
Several alumni batches of the University of the Philippines High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) kickstarted the donations and pledges to the UP Visayas Adopt-A-Room Project of the Office of the Chancellor during its launching on Nov. 29.
Headlined by the class of 1986, the UPHSI alumni donors include the classes of 1970 and 1974, 1986 (separate pledge), iAmUPHi, and retired Court of Appeals Justice Edward Contreras.
The project donors were represented by Mr. Jose Ian Cababasay and Ms. Cosette Canilao (1986), Dr. Marovi Celis (1970/ iAmUPHi), Ms. Irma Lim (1974/iAmUPHi), Jennifer Mae Luison (iAmUPHi), and Ms. Loise Jamolo (1986).

A research team of Japanese scientists and Filipino biologists from the UPLB Museum of Natural History continued its efforts to survey zoonotic diseases from bats, braving the aftermath of Typhoon Paeng (Nalgae) which recently crossed southern Luzon in the Philippines and flooded several areas of Laguna province.
On November 9, 2022, Wednesday, the UPV OCEP conducted its second installment of the “Remedies & Reducing Business Risks” lecture series. The activity’s resource person was Atty. Aloysius Pacelli Dela Cruz II. Atty. Dela Cruz is a College of Management alumnus and currently a partner at the Treñas, Rubias, De La Cruz and Layson Law Offices.
The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and DA-BAR conducted a training course on Communicating Agriculture and Fisheries for Inclusive and Sustainable Development (CAFSRISD) Program as part of the Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) Mentorship Program for the bureau staff. The training was held on 8-29 June 2022 via Zoom.
As the permanent secretariat of the Philippine Academic Society for Climate and Disaster Resilience (PASCDR) and the academic sector partner of the Philippine Preparedness Partnership (PhilPrep), the UP Resilience Institute (UP RI) brought together leaders from the PASCDR and PhilPrep to a Roundtable Discussion last 20th of October 2022.
